Vredux CS2: activation and launch#

Set up Vredux for Counter-Strike 2 using this guide. Features and licenses are listed on the Vredux CS2 page.

Account and license#

Open vredux.com, register or sign in, and activate your purchased key in the profile. An existing OwnHacks license does not need to be purchased again for this step.

Dependencies and Steam settings#

When required components are missing, use Microsoft's official installers: Visual C++ x86, Visual C++ x64 and DirectX.

Opt out of the Steam client beta under Interface settings. Remove -vulkan from CS2 launch options for the documented launch method.

Start through the launcher#

1. Download the launcher from your Vredux profile and copy the archive password shown there.
2. Extract it with that password using 7-Zip or WinRAR.
3. Open the EXE and sign in with your account email or login and password.
4. Select Load.
5. Wait for the loader to open Steam and CS2. Do not launch CS2 manually during this stage.
6. The VRedux label in the upper-left corner indicates that interface loading has finished.
7. Open the menu with Insert or Home.

Troubleshooting#

Archive password rejected: copy it again from the profile and check keyboard layout and extra spaces.

No interface: make sure the loader started CS2 after Load; repeat the sequence with the game initially closed.
