Mason Squad launch guide#

This guide covers Mason for Squad. See the Mason Squad page for current product features.

Prepare and download#

Set Squad to borderless windowed mode in its graphics settings, then close the game completely. Download the current Mason launcher.

First and subsequent launches#

1. Run the loader as administrator.
2. Select Squad and click Launch.
3. Wait for the success message and automatic loader exit.
4. Restart Windows if requested during the first run.
5. After restarting, repeat the loader sequence: Squad → Launch → wait for automatic exit.
6. Immediately start Squad manually after that stage. Avoid minimizing it during initialization.
7. Press Insert in the lobby to open the menu.

Save and restore configurations#

In the configuration section, select the option to copy the configuration to the clipboard. Paste that text into a plain-text file and save it with a recognizable name.

To restore it, copy the entire saved text and select the configuration option to load from the clipboard. A license key is not a configuration file.

Missing menu#

Check borderless display mode, the selected game in the launcher and whether the launch sequence was repeated after restarting. Use the latest downloaded loader. If it still fails, contact OwnHacks with Mason Squad, your Windows version and the last successful step.
