Covcheg Apex Legends setup
For Covcheg Apex Legends, loader order and overlay settings are essential.
System
The source requires hardware virtualization and Hyper-V enabled, GPT, UEFI and Secure Boot disabled. See GPT/MBR, UEFI and Secure Boot references. Back up data before partition changes and retain any disk-encryption recovery key.
Loader
- Put the Covcheg loader on USB and exit Steam completely from its tray icon.
- Run the loader from USB, select your product and follow its messages.
- Accept a requested restart, then repeat the USB loader sequence.
- Wait for automatic exit and Start the game and press F5 in game main menu. Remove USB before starting Apex, then acknowledge the prompt.
Display software
AMD/Intel users need Action 4.39.1 and its visible FPS counter.
All users need OBS 25.0.8 running as administrator. Add Game Capture → Capture specific window → r5apex_dx12.exe and wait for the image. Set Apex to windowed mode before initialization.
Install RTSS. The source specifies minimum On-Screen Display zoom, a top-left counter and minimum Display palette alpha; the alpha adjustment is recommended after the menu appears.
Activation
Press F5 once at the main menu. If asked to change window mode, apply a different mode and press F5 again. For crashes while switching modes, the source recommends starting RTSS after initialization. Send unresolved errors to OwnHacks support.
